Hip-hop and you don't stop until you are aloud to leave the country.

Ma isegi ei tea millest alustada.. Päris tormiline nädal on olnud, koos mitmete toredate võõras kultuuriruumis viibimise emotsioonidega.
Eelmine nädal käisime pliksidega Atletico Madrid ja Qarabagh'i  mängu vaatamas.

Caspian Style Jam. Päris lahe oli. Tantsijatel on hea musikaalsus ja nad on pigem originaalsed, natuke jääb puudu old school basicust, bounce'st  & gruuvist. Nende jaoks on ka stillide segamine okei. Paar tüüpi viskasid hip-hopi prselectionis ka dippe ja vouge'i muuve vahele. Hip-hopis võistles kokku 26 inimest, 2 tüdrukut, mina üks neist. Breigis oli vist kokku mingi 8-10 võistlejat. Muusika oli hea.... No vahepeal paar dubstepi lugu oli , mis seal ikka.

Me oleme kaks korda taksodelt natuke tünga saanud. Noh, hind muutub sõidu ajal. Mitte metsikult, aga natuke. Klassikaline Aserbaidžaan. Mu õde juba igatseb Euroopa fikseeritud hindu.

Kõige "parem" vaatamisväärsus Aserbaidžaanis - Yanar Dag. Põlev mägi. See asub Baku eeslinnas, kohas mis meenutab natuke slummi. Me sõitsime sinna muidugi bussiga, sest meile meeldib maksta 20 kopikat transpordi eest.

NB! Mul võimalus nüüd paar päeva päris kaameraga pilte teha. Juhhei!

I do not even know where to start. It has been a long week with many different emotions.
Last week we went to the Baku Olympic stadium to watch the Atletico Madrid vs  Qarabagh game. Of course, we  bought the cheapest 2 AZN tickets, and of course you needed your passport to buy it.  The stadium was quite impressive and also the infrastructure around it was designed in a way that it would be safe for 68 000 people to leave the place at the same time.
We made a colossal mistake and draw the national flags on our cheeks .... What was obviously too exceting and exotic and teenage boys wanted to do selfies with us. I said no from the begin with, but few of my companions agreed.
Eventually, when we left the game,in a large crowd a group of teenage boys kind of harrased us and tried to take photos whit use, despite our refuseal. They came too close and they also grabbed us from our hands. This would not be cool anywhere in the world. After like 10 minutes some local grown up told them to get lost and thats what they did.
Alltogether, the game reminded a bit of Estonian team playing football. The crowd was happy that their team did not lose. The score was  0-0. Estonians would also be happy. For example, the French would be disappointed that their team did not score any goals.

I also went to a hip-hop event !!!!! Caspian Style Jam. It was pretty cool - dancers had good musicality and they were quite original. Didn’t see that much bounce, groove or oldschool moves though. “Youtube generation” was the term that came into my head.
They were also mixing styles - a few guys were throwing dips (vouge movements) in the preselections.
A total of 26 people competed in hip-hop, 2 girls, I was one.  There were probably some 8-10 competitors in Breikdance. The music was good, only a few dubstep songs were played. :D
I actually was thinking for a few days if i should go or not. I didn’t know anybody, I showed up alone etc. But it was still fun, I met some people and hopefully now I can join some jams as well. My attempts to find people who are “my cup of tea” have finally succeeded! Normal people are also great, but I enjoy spending time with  art, music and dance people a bit more.

My dad and sister are here! We got together in Ganja, now we have been in Baku for three days, tonight we will go to Sheki and maybe I will scheme myself with them to Georgia as well. What is the problem? Azerbaijani bureaucracy has scored 1-0. Against me and for all the other international students. We had to receive our temporary residence permit no later than one month after arrival because the original visa lasts for 30 days. In reality, they got it  ready by October 22, but I still dont have mine physically. They still need some last confirmation from the minsitry. So maybe it will take another week. But I would like to leave the country tomorrow night, although my permission to stay here is over. Most likely we will see if I manage to leave the country or not tommorrow.

We got screwed by the taxis twice. Not too much, but a little. The price changed during the drive.  Classic Azerbaijan. My sister already misses the fixed prices of Europe.

We visited the “best” sight in Azerbaijan - Yanar Dag. Burning Mountain. It is located in the suburbs of Baku, the area feels like a slum a little bit. We traveled there by bus, of course, because we like to pay 20 kopecks for transportation. And it's just a mountain that is leaking gas and someone has put it on fire. Amazing.

We also visited the carpet museum in Baku. Try to guess what is the shape of the building? Yep, it is a building shaped like a carpet. Architectural master class. If European sex museums were to use the same principles, should they be shaped like a dildo?

Muidugi pean ka oma perele mudavulkaane näitama. Ofcourse I have to show the volcanoes to my family as well.

Is she hugging me or planning to throw me down from the cliffs?

Yanar Dag.

Leia pildilt 12 000 aastat vanad koopamaalingud.  Find 12 000 years old drawings from the photo.

A carpet is like a friend, who sends you through your life.

Paps kutsub neid õiteks, mitte leegitornideks. My dad is calling these towers flowers, not flames.

Pere! Familiy!
